We volunteers choose to serve others selflessly moved by the love we are willing to share. Every minute of each volunteer's time is worth a lot to the lives of the people we serve. It would be impossible to fulfil AMAH's mission without the visible or "invisible" love and service of each volunteer, "However small, everyone can play a part".

A heart devoted to help

The AMAH volunteer program is flexible, both for those volunteering face to face with patients as well as those who volunteer in management and special projects. All belonging to an interdisciplinary team with the aim of achieving the dream of home ownership for our future guests.

We are here for the ones in need.

Patient Care Volunteers

AMAH Care volunteers serve patients directly by accompanying them, whether they are palliative care doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and volunteers specially trained for helplines and missionary support. Their calling is to be close the patients.
We need the following volunteers from the care sector:

• Palliative doctors
• Psychologists
• Social workers
• Nurses

Indirect Management and Projects Volunteers

AMAH Management and Project volunteers offer their time, skills, abilities and talents through management and administrative tasks, communication, advertising, fundraising and many other areas related to development of the Hospice Huerta (Orchard) AMAH project. The Hospice Huerta AMAH project requires:

• ADMINISTRATION AND LEGAL: Accountant, Administrative Analyst, Head of Institutional Relations, Lawyer.
• INFRASTRUCTURE: Architect, Landscaper, Horticulturist.
• COMMUNICATION: Graphic designer, Community Manager.

Other roles within the volunteer team for the Future at Hospice Huerta AMAH:

• Cleaning, cooking, laundry
• Infrastructure and machinery maintenance
• Maintenance of green areas
• Carpentry
• Vegetable garden
• Shop assistants
• Artistic education
• Horticulture teaching
• Carpentry teaching

How to join the AMAH Team

To join as a volunteer in any of the service areas, complete and send the Initial Interview Form so that we can meet you and arrange a first interview. All our volunteers receive a training program that will be shared in due course.
